Airsoft South Africa - General Rules
Payment
- Full payment must be settled before game commence.
- Card facilities – card and cash or website payments available.
Spectators
- Non-playing group members may come watch and braai at no extra charge.
- Due to limited space, the number of spectators may not exceed the number of players.
- Alcohol (no spirits) may be brought in, but players may not drink before or during their bookings and match playing.
Field Etiquette
- People not abiding by these rules will either be sent off the field for a cool down period, sent home, banned from the field for a period of time or permanently banned with no refund
- Records are kept of players and if we find a trend of small infringements, action will be taken.
- Teams with players that constantly break rules may be banned.
- If an open session has constant issues, the field will close early.
- Infringements may be reported to other fields.
Disputes
- All problems & issues must be reported to the marshals who will then take the appropriate action.
- Marshal’s decisions are final.
No confronting people on or off the field, even if they are breaking the etiquette rules. - No starting fights.
- No physical or verbal abuse towards another player, this will result to a cooldown period or even a ban on the aggressors.
Shooting
- No shooting people after they are out (hand up or death rag)
- No shooting people after the game has ended.
- No shooting the marshal.
- No shooting full auto.
- No shooting someone over a dispute.
- No over shooting, even if they not taking their hits.
- No blind firing.
- Bang rule: You can’t bang someone if they know you are there.
- Sniper: no shooting closer than the allocated distance
- No purposefully shooting a person to hurt them.
Being Shot
- Not taking your hit, if you are unsure if you are shot or not, take the hit.
- If you are going into close quarter areas, you are going to be shot close range. If you do not want to be shot close range, do not enter CQB areas.
- If padding is constantly stopping a player from feeling their hits, they will be asked to remove the padding.
- If you are not wearing full face protection, don’t complain if someone shoots you in the face
Unacceptable Behaviour
- Excessive swearing.
- Aggression.
- Shouting at people to take their hit (if people are not taking their hit, report them).
- Arguing with the marshals
Removing eye protection on the field. - Playing under the influence (drugs or alcohol).
- Removing barrel sock, dry firing and other general safety rules in the safe area.
Other
- Constantly doing small infringements.
- No real weapons allowed (knives included). Criminal charges will be laid against people not abiding by this rule.
- Using equipment not approved by the field, if you are unsure speak to the marshals.
- Using BB’s that is not bio-degradable are not allowed by the field.
- Not supportive or being condescending to new players / rentals.
